Stop Procrastinating and Start Blogging Now

On October 18, 2010, in Blogging, by Sonny Lanorias

So what keeps you from starting your own blog? Why is it that you keep on procrastinating when it comes to blogging? Here’s an article that will make your blogging journey so easy.

But first, let’s define what a blog is. A blog is your home base on the internet. It is a running account of information and ideas published on the web. Blogging is very important because it provides a simple way to continually communicate with your customer base.

Blogging on the other hand is still the safest most dependable way to capture leads, sales and sign ups for your home based network marketing business. But why is it that there are still a lot of marketers who refuse to start a blog and begin to procrastinate when it comes to blogging? blogging

Here are some tips and advise when it comes to blogging:

1. Know your target market or your audience – you need to know what your target market or audience are looking for or interested about. You need to give them what they want. Offer them valuable advise and useful tips or how-to tutorials about what they’re interested in.

2. Present an opinion on your blog – it is important that you need to have something to say to your audience. People want opinions.

3. Update your blog and make it fun – you need to make your blog fresh and fun. You can update it once or twice a week. If you have enough time, you can update it 5 times a week. The more the merrier because more and more people will be coming back to your blog to read your next post. Use the 4 E’s. Entertaining, educational, enlightening and empowering.

4. Hate to write? – if you’re not a good writer or hate to write, no problem. There are 2 options. Either contact those people who love to write and let them write for you or use a strategy called OPC. OPC mean using “Other People’s socially proven Content”. Use OPC and at the end of your post, link back to their sites. The author will be happy and will thank you for it.

So there you have it. Now you know enough to get started. Looking forward to your new blog and happy blogging =)

Heyya Sonny ……and well said. When I started blogging I think I used your posts ๐Ÿ™‚ Nothing wrong with that except I neglected to say I had rewritten it. Never mind one learns from their experiences and I put all the acknowledgments in now.

But you are so right it’s just a matter of letting your fingers do the walking over the keys. I never considered myself a person with anything people would want to share above those they already share with. But really it’s a “community” when you start blogging. The support is there if you show your support of others so do as Sonny suggest and get out there…besides it can be so much fun. Thanks Sonny for reminding me of my earlier experiences.

    Sonny,

Another awesome post! Procrastination is one of the enemies of bloggers. A blogger can also accept guest posts from other bloggers if he doesn’t feel like writing at that moment. Thanks for the advices! Keep me updated.
