In this article I am going to share with you the proper way to build and market your business online. I remembered when someone said that when you don’t use the internet to build your business, you’ll soon be out of business. Agree or disagree? To me personally, this is so true because if you don’t use the internet to build and market your business, you are limiting yourself and making it difficult for your business as well. Why? Because the internet is like an ocean with an unlimited potential with unlimited wealth. But there’s a catch! What is it? You need to know how to do it properly. If you’re thinking about vomiting your business opportunity on facebook, twitter, linkedin and on other social media sites as well, then you’re damn wrong because this is in fact the surefire way for your prospects to get turned off.

Here’s the proper way to build and market your business online: business online

1. Give Value First – what does this mean? If you want to stand out from the crowd, separate yourself from the amateurs and want yourself to look like a professional online marketer, then you need to offer value first to your target market. Why? Because most of the people don’t care about your business or opportunity. These people are hungry for information that can help them solve their problems. And guess what, the number one problem most online business owners face is the lack of leads. So give them just that. Offer solution that will help solve their problem.

2. Build The Relationship – relationship is the most important element when you build a business online. Why? Because if you don’t build and establish the relationship first, your prospects will not trust you and basically that means they won’t buy from you. So put the relationship first before you try to sell something to someone.

3. Monetize Your List – your list basically means your list of leads and prospects. Now that you’ve offered some value in the market place, built and established that relationship, you can now offer and sell your products or opportunity. But this time when you do it right, your product and opportunity will now be seen by your prospects as a solution to their problems and not an annoying sales pitch.

So make sure when you have a business online, the proper way to build and market it is to offer value first, build relationship with your prospects and monetize your list. Forget about pitching your business opportunity right off the bat because you’re just showing you’re an amateur and an annoying salesman if you do that.

For about up to the first year of my blog i just provided quality content, used my knowledge and expertise, and set out to help as many people as i could with their personal development. At the same time i built relationships, made friends, and answered people’s questions. Then just after my 1st year anniversary i introduced google adsense and promoted my personal development coaching business, and it was a hit straight away.

    With my experience in the BPO and Home base industry, I have learned that in order to keep your online business you have to keep a consistent branding but offer a fresh way of presenting it every time, all the time. With a consistent branding, you build authority and establish a name of your own. While present your services and business in a different plate, you get to give your audience a fresh perspective. This will distinguish you from other online businesses who are giving monotonous and pre-formatted service.

    I also believe on building relationship with your prospects. Online business is grounded on trust and confidence, I agree that this is the core value that we all sure share.

    This is a basic post for every beginner in online marketing and not only. It’s great to remember these points from time to time. You make sales online only if you built trust (by adding value and connecting) first. Adding value constantly is a thing that requires releasing unrealistic expectations, concerns or fears and act with confidence and patience. Many people,”don’t have the time” to build and wait, so they prefer a shortcut (spamming).
    Others way to build a business : invest in yourself all the time, be an entrepreneur with every fiber of your being (creating an identity, not only doing things). Also, put yourself in the shoes of your prospects each time you do something: If I am a prospect now I would like to receive this kind of information first, what is important for me as a prospect, what are my goals etc. This leads to a better understanding of people.
