This is a great post in discussing the online vs offline marketing.
In this article I am going to share with you about online marketing vs offline marketing, which is better and why. In any business whether you are in network marketing, affiliate marketing or in a traditional offline business, you need to market and the real name of the game is driving traffic to your business so you get leads and prospects which then turns into sales for you. That’s the goal why you’re in business so you can make a profit.
Before I spill the beans let’s first discuss what is online marketing and what is offline marketing. Online marketing is simply advertising your business using the internet through pay per click, banner ads, solo ads, blogging, article marketing, social media, seo and so on. While offline marketing is simply advertising your business through the use of offline methods such as newspaper, television, radio, magazine, word of mouth and so on. So in a nutshell, those 2 are indeed different animals.
Offline marketing factors you need to bare in mind:
Most traditional businesses requires a large initial amount of investment. You need to also hire a couple of employees, pay for rent, do offline forms of advertisement and more risky. And most offline businesses takes about 1-3 years to get their return of investment.
Online marketing factors:
Most internet businesses requires a small amount of investment to start, no need for additional employees to hire, no need to pay for rent, can begin with or without an initial budget for your marketing and can get their return of investment in as little as one day, one week to one month.
So to return to our question, online marketing vs offline marketing which is better and why:

Hi, Sonny, This is a very good post. It clarifies what online and offline efforts are. I agree that online marketing is much more fun. This is mainly due to the prospecting dynamics. It is no longer the 'chase after people' method. We are here as a consultant to serve others and to see if there is a gap that we could possibly help. Online mothods, when implemented appropriately, is extremly professional and effective. I appreciate your sharing, Sonny :) Viola Tam
Same choice with you sonny, I do prefer online marketing as better one as compare to the traditional way. Besides of the fact that is has several benefits, online marketing let’s you enjoy your passion in life without any hassle as you have proper management with it. In contrast to traditional marketing where you come up with a daily quota of production.
According my experience online income demands a lot of patience. The work for online business demands frequency and consistency. Many people left jobs of 9 to 5 and started work for online income but they were disappointed and came back to their jobs.
Well, since this is the age of the Internet and computer technology is accessible to almost everyone, it is no surprise that online marketing is much much better than offline marketing now. Also, many offline businesses turn to online methods (such as having their own website and offering their products and services to people all over the country or world, and also to let their loyal customers know beforehand if they have a huge bargain sale coming up) in order to keep themselves competitive and still in operation.
Great topic Sonny - and yes I agree that leveraging the power of the internet is much more time efficient and is able to do the "sifting and sorting" for you without all the grunt work! I like to combine the two as I see more and more people struggling with the amount of information that is required to set up a good marketing funnel, (which is why using a marketing system is a big help!) but people are looking for the personal connection again so full automation is never a good idea either! So a combination of both has my vote ! Nicky
Hi, Sonny, I love your topic! I agree with you that online has a clear advantage about leveraging the time - having the internet working 24/7. Another claer advantage is the 'visibilty factor'. The exposure online is massive! Having said that, offline tend to have a clear advantage about the 'Know, Like and Trust' factors which are timeless! Smart online marketers are using other strategies such as email and video marketing, webinars and phone calls to engage the audience. To conclude, online has huge potential but offline is alive and well because referral marketing can be very powerful. Viola Tam
Hello Nicky, Thanks for stopping by. Yes you are right on there Nicky. Automation is just half the equation. The other half is to connect with your leads. Though having a system and leveraging the internet is a very huge help. Thanks again. Cheers, $onny
Hello Viola, Thanks for your contribution. You got the point about the massive exposure you get online. Cheers, $onny
