In this article I am going to share with you what to do with your leads. Now that you have leads, what’s next?
Most people get lost here because most network marketers call their leads and pitch their opportunity. Remember that you were positioning yourself on the internet as a trusted adviser and an expert on a particular subject which in our case is, teaching others how to build a successful internet home business or a network marketing business.
You were there because you want to help others right? And you are trying to help others who are struggling to build a successful network marketing business. So what in the world are you thinking when you call your leads and immediately start vomiting your business opportunity on them?
Take note that nobody likes to be sold. So instead of calling your leads and pitching your business opportunity to them, you should call them and let them know that you are here to help. Call them and introduce yourself. Ask them questions like, “did you receive my free report”, or did you get my 7 day free training on this and that?” These are the lines that you want to say to your leads. Because they approached and came to you because they have a problem that needs to be solved. And again in our case, that problem is on how to build a successful network marketing business.
This is all about giving without want. And most of all always remember that network marketing is all about building relationships. Become a leader by giving away your knowledge freely to your leads. Teach them how to build a successful network marketing business. Lead and guide them to get them closer to their goals. Because in the end these leads will eventually follow you because they already trusted you for showing them the way to success.
So now that you know what to do with your leads, start calling them and implement what you’ve learned on this article. And remember to always give value by helping your leads get what they want.
Nice post sonny. building a relationship first with your prospects is the right way to do it. doing network marketing online and offline is also the same. you must build trust first before you pitch your business opportunity to them. and its very important to not pitch anything when you are connecting with your prospects. build a relationship first and close later.
Hi Sonny, thanks for the reminder of what to do once a person acquires leads. We really must step inside the lead's shoes and understand why they have responded and build on that versus build on our opportunity. Great stuff, Joe
Hello Rachael, thanks for your comments. Yeah you got it. Attraction Marketing definitely works :) Come back soon.
Hey Sonny, wise words. People are attracted to those that show a genuine desire to help others. Rachael :)
Hello Suzie, Thank for visiting my blog and leaving your comment. I appreciate it. Yeah you are right about how to treat our leads. Leads are like patients wherein they need to undergo consultation first so you know what their problems are before you recommend something in value to them. Thanks again.
This is some excellent advice. Thanks for the info. People do not like to be sold and all your relationship building will be down the toilet if you don't find out what they need first. Only then will you know what you really have to offer them. A commitment to service 1st, not just sales will help you create a loyal and winning team. Each prospect has their own reasons for wanting to be self-employed and it's certainly not for everyone. When you get to know your prospects needs you are in a better position to help them get what they want out of your business or maybe something different. Treat people like people, no numbers.
Hey Michael, Thanks for chiming in and leaving your comment. Yeah you are right. It's all about giving without want. Come back soon. Thanks again.
Hi Sonny, Thanks for sharing the info. I guess it starts with a shift in mindset. Most people are of the mentality that they should get what they want immediately. With network marketing, the truth is that you have to help others before you get anything in return. That being said, we have to shift from a 'ME' mentality, and focus on the leads we generate. We have to shift from thinking about what's best for us and what we want, to thinking about what's best for our leads and what they want. It's much easier to focus on what we want, but it's way more profitable and lucrative to focus on what our leads want and forget about our needs for a second (this is the difficult part for most). Thanks for sharing the info. Michael
Hi Nick, Thanks for your comments. You have a good point there and I agree with you. Thanks again for stopping by.
I agree with most of what you said. If the leads came to you about solving a problem (i.e. they opted in to learn how to build a successful internet network marketing business) then yes, definitely don't vomit your opportunity on them. BUT, if the leads you are generating are company specific, or are actively looking for an opportunity it would be unwise to not mention the opportunity. Again, you don't want to vomit on them, but it needs to be a topic of discussion since that's what they are looking for. The key is to do it in a tactful and helpful manner. You must always match what you are offering with what the lead is looking for. Cheers, Nick Klopper
Hello Jennifer, Thanks for your contribution. Yes, the key to having a wildly successful business is to have a HUGE lifetime customer value. Thanks again :)
Great post Sonny! This is truly KEY to successfully closing any lead or truly connecting with them. We must always be in a place of helping them not selling them... first it is much more rewarding and second they won't ultimately feel like a dollar sign... which in return builds a solid trust and relationship! Great post!! :)
Hello Kristine, Thanks for your comments. I am glad that you liked my article and I was able to help. Come back soon :)
Hello Michelle, Thanks for stopping by. I am also glad that we've connected. Come back soon and thanks that you liked my article.
Hello Kim, Thanks for your comments. Yes relationships first because trying to close someone too fast on the big sale (getting them into your business) is like asking someone to marry you on the first date! So you have to build a relationship first.
Hi Sonny! I love this, "This is all about giving without want." How true it is! People focus on making the sale the first contact instead of what is most important and long lasting and that is, the relationship! Most network marketers, all this want is the sale and their prospects can detect this and most times that's why they get rejected. I am totally with you on this one! Kim
