While offline marketing is simply advertising your business through the use of offline methods such as newspaper, television, radio, magazine, word of mouth and so on. So in a nutshell, those 2 are indeed different animals.

Most traditional businesses requires a large initial amount of investment. You need to also hire a couple of employees, pay for rent, do offline forms of advertisement and more risky. And most offline businesses takes about 1-3 years to get their return of investment.

So here is a proven method that can help you stay productive in your online marketing business: 

1. Have a timer on hand – why do you need this? Because the secret to stay productive in your online marketing business is to time yourself as if you are meeting a deadline on your work. It is already proven to work so try setting a time limit for every task that you create. On my end, I spend 30 minutes brainstorming, getting ideas and doing keyword research. I then spend 1 hour to create my content then another hour to market and drive massive traffic to that content. Then at night, I spend 30 minutes answering emails, skype calls, chats from leads that I generate. Then I spend the rest of the time with my family. So all in all, I spend 3 hours working my online marketing business every day. But it may vary for every person. This is just an example so at least you get the idea.

2. Notepad – this is a very tiny application sitting on your computer that can make wonders for your online marketing business if you just know how to use it. You can use your notepad to put and write anything that you like. But for the purposes of staying productive in your online marketing business, use your notepad as your guide on what you need to do the following day. So before you sign off, write down on your notepad what you need to do the next day. For example, before signing off , you write down in your notepad tasks like creating content around the topic “how to get 3-5 leads everyday using the facebook friend system” then after that, you are going to drive traffic to that content. Have a time set for commenting on other people’s blog and answer question in forums. It may be different for others. Some may spend time on creating ads for their ppc strategy, then putting their ads on classified ads, sending solo ads and so on. So now you get the idea on how to stay productive in your online marketing business.

3. Exercise, take minute breaks and drink water – I need to write this down because some people forget this important task. Exercise at least 30 minutes per day to stretch your muscles and keep yourself healthy especially to avoid back pains and eye strains. While doing your online marketing business tasks, take minute breaks. Recommended is for every 50 minute computer work, take at least 10 minutes to rest your back and eyes. Then last but not the least is for you to drink at least 8 glasses of water or 1-2 liters of water everyday.

Remember that when you start your day, open your notepad immediately and follow the tasks on hand. Time your self on every task as if you are meeting a deadline and take minute breaks.
